Why specify FKM
- Resists most acids, solvents, fuels and aggressive chemicals
- Continuous service to 200 °C and above, with higher excursions
- Very low gas permeability
- Excellent compression set at temperature
Where it fails
Significantly more expensive than NBR and poor below −20 °C. Not suitable for hot water, steam, ketones or amines.
